What is hydroponics?

95% of US grown leafy greens comes from the West Coast meaning they could travel over 2,500 miles from harvest to plate. Produce is flash frozen, nutrients are depleted, and it is no longer fresh. Our produce is harvest and delivered (for free!) on the same day.

Hydroponics is the method of growing without soil. It uses water to deliver nutrients straight to the root and typically uses 90% less water than traditional growing processes while having the same nutrient levels as organically grown produce. In all, hydroponics uses less land, water and fuel making it more environmentally friendly.

Using top of the line hydroponic systems and greenhouses allows us the ability to harvest 5,500 plants per week from just one greenhouse.

Community Support &

the Fight Against Childhood Obesity!

West Georgia Produce contributes 25% of all sales (not just profits) to FightChildhoodObesity.org, a nonprofit with a mission of combating childhood obesity, by offering nutrition and health education, amongst other services, at no cost.

Founder and entrepreneur, Jamie Weeks, is dedicated to selling 75% of the greens we grow and giving 25% to the community. The vision of West Georgia Produce and the Weeks Family is to provide self-sustaining greenhouses in rural areas and schools, that produce these nutrient-rich greens, at no cost.
